Cylinder Test
Cylinder Test is the screen for directly testing pneumatic cylinder operation. It is used to extend and retract cylinders and check the ON/OFF state of the arrival sensors, verifying that the solenoid output and sensor input wiring is correct. The entry path is System → Cylinder Test (Ctrl+2).
The cylinder name, description, action labels, and solenoid/sensor mapping follow the definitions in the Cylinder Editor. This screen is a verification tool to confirm that the defined cylinders actually operate as intended.
Pressing an action button physically extends or retracts the cylinder. Because it acts on connected equipment, confirm that no hands or objects are within the cylinder's range of motion before operating.
Main Areas
The screen consists of group tabs at the top, a cylinder list, a signal-display panel, and a repeat test at the bottom.
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| View Type tabs | The group selection tabs at the top. Switches the list by the group each cylinder belongs to. |
| Cylinder DataGrid | Shows the cylinder list. The main columns are Name and Description, and the buttons in the Action column command operation. |
| Action buttons | The action buttons on each row. There are two action buttons corresponding to extend/retract and a STOP button. |
| SOL / SENSOR panels | Show the state of the selected cylinder's solenoid outputs (SOL A / SOL B) and arrival sensor inputs (SENSOR A / SENSOR B) as indicators. |
| CYLINDER REPEAT LIST | The bottom panel. Configures a repeat test that repeatedly performs the selected cylinder operation. |
Operation Control and Repeat Test
Pressing the extend/retract buttons in a cylinder row's Action column drives the corresponding solenoid
output, and the SOL/SENSOR panels below let you check the output and arrival-sensor state at the same time.
The STOP button halts the operation in progress.
In the bottom repeat-test panel, set DELAY(msec) (the interval between operations) and REPEAT COUNT (the
number of repetitions), then press START to begin. Enabling Sensor Check also verifies the arrival sensor
input on each operation. The remaining count is shown in REMAIN COUNT; use STOP, DELETE, and
CLEAR LIST to control and tidy the list.
Workflow
- Open the screen via System → Cylinder Test (Ctrl+2).
- Select the target cylinder group in the top View Type tabs.
- Select a cylinder row from the list.
- Operate using the extend/retract buttons in the
Actioncolumn and check the arrival sensor in the SOL/SENSOR panel. - For repeated operation, set
DELAY(msec)andREPEAT COUNTand pressSTART.
