Param Setup

Param Setup is the screen for setting system parameters by application scope. Its title is PARAM MIN/MAX SETUP, and even the same parameter applies to a different target depending on whether it belongs to the JobFile, System Setup, or Master Setup scope. The entry path is System → Param Setup.

The JOB DATA and SETUP DATA buttons at the top switch the scope to edit, and the central PARAMETER LIST lists that scope's parameters. After editing values, save with SAVE at the bottom, and use RESTORE to revert to the previous values.

Application scopes

Parameters are divided by application scope as follows. Which scope a value lives in determines "what this value changes with."

ScopeApplies toPurpose
JobFilePer product / recipeValues that differ per production item. They change together when the JobFile is switched. See Recipe(JobFile).
System SetupEquipment-commonValues applied commonly to the whole equipment regardless of the item.
Master SetupUpper / administrator scopeThe reference upper-level parameters. Handled with administrator permission and not changed casually.

The key difference: JobFile changes together with the item, System Setup is fixed to the equipment, and Master Setup is the administrative scope that sets the reference above them.

Main areas

The screen consists of the scope-switch buttons at the top, the parameter list in the center, and the save buttons at the bottom.

AreaDescription
PARAM MIN/MAX SETUPThe title area. The scope-switch buttons are on the right.
JOB DATA / SETUP DATAButtons that switch the parameter scope to edit.
PARAMETER LISTThe central list where the selected scope's parameters appear. Values are edited directly here.
SAVE / RESTOREButtons at the bottom. SAVE saves, and RESTORE reverts to the last saved values.

Workflow

  1. Open the screen from System → Param Setup.
  2. Switch the scope to edit with JOB DATA or SETUP DATA at the top.
  3. Edit the target parameter's value in PARAMETER LIST.
  4. Save with SAVE at the bottom. If you edited wrongly, revert with RESTORE.
  5. Place values that should change per item in the JobFile scope and equipment-common values in the System Setup scope to separate their roles.
